Identification and Organization of Matrices from the Typographic Workshop Collection of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar
The presented project involves the inventory and organization of matrices used in the hot metal typesetting processes of Linotype, Monotype, and Ludlow, housed in the Typographic Workshop of IPT. This study is an integral part of the project Typographic Workshop of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar - An Industrial Heritage to Safeguard and Enhance, conducted at the Techn&Art research center. The project also encompasses manual typesetting and other graphic arts equipment, ranging from historical to more contemporary.
